Did anyone go to waddington airshow?
Haven’t bothered for a few years, once you have been to RIAT in Fairford all other airshows are poor by comparison. Only time I do go is if there is special plane going, like the MIG 29s that went a few years back. The problem with Waddington is that it is too British, we all love Typhoon and Red Arrows but we want to see US planes too. The flying display at RIAT is twice as long, and there must be four or five times more static aircraft to view. There is also a ton of other attractions there like Russ Swift doing crazy things in his cars. If you like airshows, save your money by giving the smaller airshows a miss and treat yourself to both days at RIAT. If the weather is good, I would also recommend taking in the Friday (practise day).
