Did anyone from the Australian Defence Force speak to Mr Habib at all while he was in Afghanistan?

And, as I understand it, Mr Habib is in US custody and is being treated appropriately by the US authorities. QUESTION: Can you tell us anything more about the reason for the Minister’s trip? BRIGADIER MIKE HANNAN: The Minister wants to get an update of operations on the ground. And he’ll be receiving full briefings on the operations from both the Australian commanders and from Coalition commanders in the area of operations. He will also be meeting the Australian troops and having a close personal look at how the operations are continuing and what the conditions are like for them on the ground.
