Did anybody watch the episode of nip tuck…….?
I saw the episode and actually found your question while looking up some information about the syndrome, as I had never heard of it before. I felt extreme sympathy for the man they portrayed, as he was unable to stop harming himself and would hurt others if given the opportunity. They showed that he he “eaten” off his own lips and a few of his fingers. He went to the plastic surgeons to get reconstructive surgery to fix his lips, but in the end he caused himself further harm. It was very sad. Since I do not know much about the syndrome I am not sure how accurately they portrayed it, but the actor who played the patient was very believable. It was a very emotional episode.
