Did anybody see a programme called “The Poles Are Coming”?
I live in Peterborough, and that programme was completely overblown. That area of Peterborough that he refered to as “The Lincoln Road area” is less than a quarter of a mile long and yes, it is a very ethnically built up area but it is generally confined to that area. Lincoln Road is 51 miles long and there are plenty of bits that aren’t anything like that. Peterborough has a lot of migrants, but it has never caused any problem for most of the locals. Councellor Charles Swift lives round the corner from my old house and he is a bit of a weirdo. He’s always going mental in the local paper. As per the skank outside the job centre who wanted to be on the dole, we have plenty of tramps who are too bone idle to work but most of the city has a decent job and works pretty hard. Peterborough is right in the middle of the Fens so there are plenty of agricultural jobs that needed doing, and weren’t being done, so good luck to the Poles if they fancy having a pop cos I certainly am not going to w
