FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 25th, 2009 Penalties Levied for Tire Rule Infraction at Topless 100 and North/South 100 CORONA, CA (August 25, 2009) – Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have determined that samples from a tire that John Mason used to qualify with at the North/South 100 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY had been chemically altered for use in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event. Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have also determined that samples from a tire that Chris Wall used to qualify with at the Topless 100 at Batesville Speedway in Batesville, AR had been chemically altered for use in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event. Results of the samples taken from the tire belonging to Mr. Mason were returned to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series from an independent testing laboratory, stating that the tire was found to be chemically altered [PREPPED] to enhance the performance of the tire sometime prior to qu
