Thomas Jefferson went to William and Mary And James Madison (WHO WROTE THE CONSTITUTION) went to Princeton where he studied, among other things, LAW! So, actually they were qualified to write the constitution. Of the signers of the Declaration of Independence: 7 went to Harvard 3 each went to Prenceton, Wm and Mary, Yale, Penn, Columbia and Cambridge and 1 went to Oxford The writer of the Declaration – Thomas Jefferson – went to Wm & Mary and was a student of George Wythe – america’s first “law professor” (Enjoy state college – assuming you can get in).
