Myths and legends are usually rather large in scale, involving gods and goddesses and wars and heroes; so I drew on was more folktales like the King Under the Hill – the king of the fey folk, and fairystories – like the dancing princesses from the Brothers Grimm; and Inuit stories about shaman and talking skulls; and from China, the Pearl of Wisdom.
