Did any Americans, upset by the Libyan terrorists release, previously donate to the IRA?
I did not donate to the IRA and I am angry about the release of the bomber. Not to defend anyone who gave money to the IRA, but that was the work of private citizens, not the US government. The UK government clearly pressured Scotland to let the bomber go so that they could get their hands on Libya’s oil. Both of our countries need to re-assess our dependence on foreign oil and what we are willing to do for it.
Yes they did, and in such large amounts, that the terrorists of the IRA, actually have houses bought and paid for, and pensions funded by them as well, at a better level than most people in Ireland, or the UK. because they paid not one penny in tax on this income ! They were not amateurs, as terrorists, but full time professionals. What perhaps is worst, is that the British government actually gave Ted Kennedy a knighthood, the very man who along with his catholic political dynasty, funded by his grandfathers bootlegging and crime, during prohibition years, actually said that he would buy the presidency for his grandsons, and did so. All the time, that Ted was alive, and in politics, he supported the IRA, was a sexual bully, and a coward, until 2005 when the IRA murdered one set of people too many but he supported them against the wishes of their own countrymen who did not want them, or their politics, running their lives.
