Did Andy Weatherall produce the entire album?
Andrew: Jack Schooner did the single but the rest of it’s either Kevin Shields or Andy Weatherall. It’s great to be working with Weatherall again. He’s always great, and he’s a great arranger of music. He knows where to put the chorus, you can really trust your songs with him. You collaborated with Robert Plant as well on the album, so what was it like working with the old dog of rock? Andrew: He played harmonica, he’s brilliant – he IS the hammer of the gods. We see him because he lives near us and we see him in the pub. And so we just went and started talking about football and music. He just loves music and he’ll start talking to you about techno records and African, and Asian, he’s into everything. What are your three favourite albums and why?
