Did an angry Indianapolis Colts fan vent frustrations on a Jacksonville hotel?
Updated 12:17 p.m.: Did an Indianapolis Colts fan get so angry about his team’s loss earlier this month in Jacksonville Jaguars territory that he broke stairwell pipes in his hotel and flooded the building? It’s one possibility that law enforcement officials have been considering in the case of a vandalized dual Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites hotel in Jacksonville, Fla. The vandalism – which caused about $1 million in damages – occurred hours after the Sunday, Oct. 3 game in which the Jaguars defeated the Colts 31-28, according to a report earlier this month from local TV station News 4. The hotel was so badly damaged that the hotel had to close. And local Hilton officials told me earlier today that, while renovations are underway, it probably won’t re-open until mid-December. • ALSO ONLINE: Room 911 in Ground Zero hotel stirs emotions • ALSO ONLINE: Survival tips for when your hotel bumps you at night • TWITTER: Follow Hotel Check-In “I couldn’t believe that someone would do so
