Did Albert Pike give a speech claiming “Lucifer is God”?
No. What follows is a forgery by Leo Taxil, falsely identified as part of a speech and written order which Albert Pike was supposed to have delivered to Freemasons in Paris on Bastille Day, July 14, 1889: “That which we must say to the world is that we worship a god, but it is the god that one adores without superstition.
