Did African-Americans make America what it is today or is that just a myth?
No. America is what it is today from the contributions of all its ethnicities. No matter how great or how small. This is what makes us so strong. Our diversity. African Americans played a large part but not the only part and surely not the most important part. Africa was great at one time. You are talking like it was never the place to be. You need to look at history more. Africa is one the most important continents in the history of man if not the most important. Most natural resources comes from there and man originated from there. Egypt was the greatest civilization known to man. Read up on some more history, specifically African history.
