We make certain all of our clients use an independant solicitor and not one who also works for the developer. It may cost you a little bit more up fornt but if anything goes wrong it can save you many many thousands. I repeat, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL AN INDEPENDANT SOLICITOR HAS CHECKED IT. Sorry for shouting but you need to hear it.
