hi patricia these small laptops which are currently known as “netbooks” are supposed to be the ultimate in portability and considering the size of the netbook these have some pretty decent specifications however since the dell has come with the linux os this isnt as easy to use as many windows based platforms for example linux does not use internet explorer,instead it uses “konkeruer” and the popular “firefox” browsers,however these wont be visible on the desktop but firefox can be found on the left of the taskbar however the dell netbook can easily handle windows xp or vista so if you purchase a copy of xp or vista you can happily install this over linux ubuntu or why not download the beta of the next windows os,windows 7 beta can be downloaded directly from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows… at the bottom of the page you will see 2 options to download windows 7,choose the “32bit version”
