Describe why it is important for teachers to understand family life?
My teacher told me this when she handed everyone these sheets where we had to tell her about ourselves and if we had any troubles sometimes. She said that sometimes, it’s easier to understand us if we are having trouble with schoolwork and she would know what was going on. Like if your parents are going through a hard time, the teacher would know that you are worried about your parents and that you couldn’t concentrate on schoolwork. Or if you’re like falling asleep in class, the teacher would know that like you had to babysit your little sister or/and brother.
hey bro dont understand anyones life you give your class and get outside immediately dont build realtion with students and waste your time you dont have to contact their familes either answer mine http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind… and yes dont even disturb urself with parents or that stuffs if you are then change your school
It depends on the age of the student. My son is a teacher and he likes to know the families so he can understand the student. Many times there is a lot of turmoil going on…divorce or drugs or violence etc. Children act out in school and if they act out they can get that student help over being punished all the time. A child can be very sad and crying and not able to make friends. It helps to know if that child should see a school counselor too or if they are just being a rebellious child or if it is a school problem. Many times a child is abused and you don’t want to relate some problem to the parent if you know it is going to end in that abuse. Sometimes a teacher can be a friend..can understand and help . Kids are always saying…you don’t understand me….but you can understand them better than they can themselves if you know about their homelife and family. There are many teachers out there that care about kids. That is why they teach. They can help a child…..and teach them too
