Describe the process by which the customer will initiate a transaction via the Internet and the flow of information?
The customer will launch the Internet-based Java application from their Windows desktop and be presented with a logon page. The initial logon is passed using standard Secured Socket Layer (SSL) over TCP Port 443 to obtain the Triple Des Key for the session. After this point, all traffic between the Client and the Bank is encrypted using Triple Des through Sockets across TCP Port 1996 or http:// industry standard SSL utilizing 128bit encryption for HTML browser based commercial applications.
