Describe the principal operations of the LuxWiz?
Upon power, the LuxWiz equipment supplies full voltage to the lamps for ignition. The equipment allows a short time delay period for the lamps to warm up sufficiently before switching to a lower energy saving voltage. When the LuxWiz switches to energy saving mode, it reduces the input mains voltage to supply the lighting load. This is done by an electronically controlled voltage step down on its efficient toroidal transformer. During operation, the LuxWiz actively monitors the output load current and mains voltage. When an additional bank of lights within the circuit is switched on, the equipment will immediately revert back to the full mains voltage to allow the additional lights that are switched on to ignite properly and then wait out the necessary warm up delay before returning to the last energy saving state.
