Dependents have free access to the labour market. How do trusts track the dependent?
Employers do not need to track dependents in the same way they do with migrants to who they have issued a certificate of sponsorship. However, employers still need to apply the NHS Employment Check Standards and demonstrate compliance with the preventing illegal working legislation. Employers only have to report any changes of circumstance with dependents if they are aware of them.
