Dentist visit followed by facial paralysis?

0

I went to the dentist today for some fillings. He gave me a shot in my upper lip/gum. The numbing is gone now, but that side of my lip is paralyzed. If I try to purse my lips together, my top lip goes sideways (away from the paralyzed side) and if I try to flare my nostrils, only the one on the opposite side of my face will flare. Any ideas on what is causing it? I’ve had fillings before and I’ve never experienced this before.
