It really depends on what the problem is. Is your boiler broken? If the landlord is doing his/her best to have that repaired then there is not much more you can expect. It can take time to have necessary repairs carried out. A replacement boiler for example may take up to three weeks to arrange. Or perhaps parts need to be ordered. Provided you have informed the landlord immediately there was a problem and they have had qualified workman check things and arranged for repair or replacement what else can you expect? Nothing happens immediately. Keep in touch with the landlord for an update on how things are progressing. Luckily it is not exactly cold yet and you can get hot water by boiling a kettle. It would be much worse if this were January with snow on the ground. We all suffer inconveniences sometimes whether tenants or owner occupiers.
