Daughter has got conjuctivitous, eyes are really puffy & dark, should i stop using eye drops & consult doctor?
Absolutely consult the Doctor, Conjuctivitis is typically either a Bacterial or Viral infection, thus you need to have a Doctor examine your Daughter to determine what is going on. Particularly at her age, she is apt to continue to reinfect her eyes by rubbing them, and so on, over and over, until you get the appropriate medication to use. Make sure you are washing your hands repeatedly, when examining your Daughter, and until the infection has cleared up. Do this as well with your daughter!! Good luck!
Yes, if it is indeed conjuctivitous and you are 100% positive of that get her in to her Dr. for the correct eye drops. I would continue to give her your at home eye drops until you can get her in to the Dr. but if it has spread to both eyes she really needs to get seen. I have heard in the past that if you let it go to long and it doesn’t get better that it can make a person lose their vision to some degree, and that comes straight from my Dr. It also could be another type of eye infection so I would definately have it checked out. If it does end up being conjuctivitous make sure to wash all of her babies and bedding she has used in hot water to get rid of the infection so she doesn’t get it again.
