Date rape fallacies: can there be purely voluntary acts?
Like many others, I have been puzzled by the theory and practice of date rape. When I first heard mention of date rape a few years back, I was a bit surprised that such a phenomenon had become a major problem. But my surprise quickly wore off as I reflected that this was the sort of thing that was bound to happen, given society’s widespread moral subjectivism and consequently permissive sexual code.
