The answer is “No”. Dark stains are harder to maintain in that they show dust and damage faster than lighter stain colors. Also, they fade in areas where windows and glass doors are exposed to sunlight. The lighter stains, on the other hand, will darken over time when exposed to sunlight giving the floor a richer look without the maintenance headaches.
