I’m also still looking for an efficient method of “tracking” students’ participation during the period. The best method I have come up with so far is to use a copy of my seating chart, covered with a transparency, and make “dots” with an overhead marker each time a student participates. These can be quickly totaled at the end of the period or day, and entered into the gradebook. If you find yourself unable to record the marks by the end of the day, simply use a different color marker! Therefore, we have come up with a money system where the kids have to talk to us for points. This is how it goes: 1. I have bills xeroxed with my picture (of course) on it, and I have put a stamp on the back of the bill (so it will not be
