Customer runs a query with a “not exists” clause, if he adds 1 extra column it produces different results?

This is a hard to pinpoint optimizer bug, could not get test case to reproduce out of original environment. However there have been other reports of similar problems. Customer changed query from “NOT EXISTS” to “NOT IN”, problem did not recur.
