Siemens Beta site tested the standard UVR and found similar problems in rugged mining applications. Hence, the Siemens Mining Duty UVR was especially designed for Mining Duty applications. Subsequent Beta site testing showed significantly longer life than that of the standard UVR and that of competing products.
