Curious question, is there any practical use for dryer lint?

They’re fire starters. My son would take an egg carton and fill each empty egg holder with the lint. Then if he was doing it at boy scouts, they would take paraffin wax and pour it over the lint. At home, he would use a candle, under my supervision, and let wax drip on the lint until it saturated the top. It would dry and then when he would go camping with his troop, they would use these to start their campfires.
