Under View>Options, Inbox, Advanced there is a setting that says “Use Extended MAPI” which controls whether Cruise Control communicates with Outlook using Extended MAPI (rather than just standard OLE). Extended MAPI prevents Outlook security warnings and provides other improvements not available with standard OLE. When a message is created using Extended MAPI, it is placed in the Drafts folder rather than the Outbox. There is no practical difference because clicking “Send/Receive” (or the Outlook’s automatic send every x minutes) will move the messages to the Outbox and commence sending them.
