it as natural as possible, so if there was a fish, invertebrate, etc that I could acquire that would help and not overstock, I would appreciate a finger pointing the way to one! We also have a 20 gallon warm water planted tank that I am going to start up, so if a creature could be used, if you have any warm freshwater substrate cleaners, Id love to hear about them as well. One of the reasons I am concerned is because I HAVE to let the food settle to the bottom or my goldfish do not eat. They were originally fry from a friends pond. The ponds fish population was almost completely killed off by a heron, and honest to God, I swear its given my fish issues:-P Without live plants floating on top and many, many around the tank to hide in, even with backing, rocks, etc. on the tank, they will stay huddled together in one corner of the tank, scared to death.
