Creationists, which scientific dating methods are wrong..?
Scientific discoveries are limited to the use of information that is already known. As more and more discoveries are made, science changes. That is why most widely accepted scientific information is called ‘theory’ rather than actual fact. The changing nature of science means that it will never be considered a finite and final answer for anything. Methods of dating are based only on what we assume to be correct but there is no way to actually verify it 100%. Nobody was around when the dinosaurs walked the earth to verify how long ago it was. The methods used to determine dates is based on what we know about decomposition and chemical reactions that we can observe in our limited time frame. Science can make assumptions and inferences from there but there is no way to know, 100% if that is correct. Carbon dating is only reliable for about 6000 years. After that, there is little evidence that it can be considered fully reliable. Truth, by definition is universal, constant and objective. S
