Creating Keynote presentation on Mac for iPad, what do I need to know?

I assume that I can create a Keynote presentation on my iMac and then transfer it to my iPad for my off-site presentation. If so, what do I need to know about creating this project on my iMac, because I bet that certain things don’t work on the iPad that would on the computer. If there is a nice thread or chart made to answer my question, feel free to point me there. I just need to create a presentation for my iPad with audio, text, photos and video and need it to work flawlessly on my iPad. Thanks!
