Crashes In “Mwmem.C”, Kernel Panics In Os X Panther / Powermac G5S — Am I Alone?

Hi all, I’m running Matlab on a small cluster of G5s running OS X 10.3.2 to do some machine learning for computer vision. An intermittent problem is that a Mac will occasionally kernel panic. It is so rare that I am having real trouble pinning down the cause, other than the fact that it only happens when I am running Matlab (for the most part, they are either running Matlab or are sitting idle). I also often have Matlab crash but not cause a kernel panic giving errors like this: Assertion failed: Forced Assertion at line 1135 of file “mwmem.c”. Attempt to free unaligned pointer. Configuration: MATLAB Version: 6.5.1.200223 (R13) Service Pack 1 Operating System: Darwin 7.2.0 Darwin Kernel Version 7.2.0: Thu Dec 11 16:20:23 PST 2003; root: xnu/xnu-517.3.7.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh Window System: No active display Current Visual: None Virtual Machine: Java is not enabled Reading the OS X kernel panic logs gives nothing informative, just that somebody tried to access invalid memory,

What is your question?
