Could you use a marshall MG15CDR amp in a pub or small venue?
A Marshall MG15CDR is not fit to be played anywhere, let alone a pub. It sounds horrible even with effects pedals, and its an earsore on its own. I have wrestled for 6 months with this amp to get a good sound out of it – in the end, I threw it out so that no one else could bear the misery that this amp is. There are much much much better amps in the price range – Roland Cube, or a Peavey Vypyr, or a used Crate. If you are very particular about using the MG, then mic it to the pub’s PA system, drummer or no drummer – it’s not loud enough to handle gigging. Just don’t expect any compliments on your tone.
IT MIGHT BE TO SMALL MARSHALL USES THE 15 IN THE MODEL FOR WATTS, SO YOU HAVE A 15 WATT AMP THEY ARE USED FOR PRACTICE BUT IF YOU ARE PLAYING A CLUB WITHOUT A DRUMMER YOU WILL BE OKAY BUT IF YOU HAVE A DRUMMER YOU WILL HAVE TO TRUN UP THE AMP AND THAT COULD LEAD TO A LOT OF DISTORTION IF THAT IS FIND WITH YOU.
