Could you explain how Jesuss crusifiction saves humanity?

The reason why Jesus’s death is important is because it saves humanity. God sent Jesus Christ to die for the world’s sins. The reason was because if he didn’t do it someone would have to. The bottom line is that every human being was born into obscurity or sin. And because of our sin we can not have a full relationship with God. So God sent his son to take the punishment of death. A death that we as human could not bear. His death gives us a way to have relationship with God. Otherwise if he had not died on the cross we as humans would have to bear the full punishment of sinfulness. Since he did die he made it so we would not have to bear the full punishment. His death takes away the brunt of the punishment so that we could be reconciled back to God.
