Could we abolish schools in their traditional form?
You have a lot of truth in your open question, but there are some snags too. Schools won’t be abolished without some power-force making it happen. If that many people began training that many kids on the Internet, then every greedy, self-styled, power-hungry, dictator-type person will see these kids as common chattel and see the Internet as a way to gain power over them. You will know this is happening when governments begin adding taxes and restrictions. Can you see what is wrong with the phrase— ** Parents could still have input over…** “could still” is not the same as already “do have.” What you are proposing is adding restrictions to and taking away freedoms from what we already can do.
