Could viruses be natures defence system against man because man is destroying nature?

Mankind is part of nature, so it would essentially be destroying itself. Mankind is not outside of nature. That’s an illusion. And every time someone tells you “man is destroying nature” they ignore that unlike every other organism on this planet, we actually take measures to try and help other organisms survive (ie, if an animal is endangered, we don’t just shrug and watch it go extinct.
