Could there be or could there have been life on mars?

Yes, life could have or could be existing in that red planet. Recent evidences collected from several mars expeditions and observations support this theory. The presence of ice caps and water trail (canals) suggest that lower forms of life could have existed in the surface. Water supports lower life forms such as bacteria, algae, fungus, etc., not necessarily the more complex life form of plants, animals and humans. Underneath the surface – no one can be certain yet but the possibility cannot be ruled out. Could there be life on mars the same as what we have on earth? I dont think so. The harsh conditions there cannot support earth-like life as we know it.
