Could there be a sequel to the Goonies in the near future?
A ‘Goonies’ Sequel Might be in the Works The Goonies made the ’80s. Every kid wanted to be part of the gang, and every kid wanted to solve puzzles and discover hidden treasure. And now, almost 25 years later, those kids may get a second chance. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Corey Feldman (‘Mouth’ Devereaux) said a sequel to the classic kid’s adventure story is “not entirely out of the picture.” Buzz around a rumored sequel has been brewing for years, with some of the original actors expressing interest. Even the ringleader, Sean Astin (Mikey Walsh), wants to get the team back together. “You know,” he said. “I’ve been saying the same thing, of course I’d do it if it was right, if the character was good, if the story was right or whatever.
