Could the project team conduct spot measurements at a particular location along existing transmission lines to give some idea of current EMF levels?
Spot measurements can be taken at multiple locations along the 1202L transmission line, which is still operating at 240 kV. We can also complete spot measurements along the 1209L transmission line which is operating at 500 kV. Readings at a few locations will provide the range of representative measurements adequate to describe the levels of EMF along the length of the transmission line. We will publish the measurements on www.heartlandtransmission.ca.
