Could Swindon Town save Trundle from the Bristol City reserves?
By jmcnamara Swindon Town could take Lee Trundle off Bristol City’s hands before the end of the month – despite having an initial offer to secure a loan deal for the out-of-favour striker turned down. Trundle was told by City boss Gary Johnson earlier this week that he does not feature in his first-team plans ahead of the coming season and that he is free to find another club. And the Evening Post understands that Bristol City contacted Swindon over the possibility of taking the former Swansea man off their hands until the January transfer window around ten days ago. It is believed Town were keen to do a deal and were encouraged to table an official offer with regards to the percentage of Trundle’s wage they would be prepared to cover for the four-month period.
