Could Strongsville Mayor Tom Perciak enter race for Cuyahoga County Executive?

Since November, it’s been assumed that former State Rep. Matthew Dolan, son of Cleveland Indians owner Larry Dolan, had the inside track for the Republican nomination for the new Cuyahoga County executive position. Last night while scrubbing off the dishes that had been accumulating in my sink, I got the sense that there could be some competition on the way. What happened is that I actually took the time to sit through a robo-poll over the phone. So while it was kind of annoying to put the dish scrubber down every 30 seconds to answer a question, it was also enlightening. The poll started by asking about national and state issues, Obama’s performance, Kasich vs. Strickland, and whether the country/state were headed in the right direction. About halfway through, the poll turned directly to the Cuyahoga County executive position. It asked us our opinion on Dolan, Democratic candidate Ed Fitzgerald and independent Ken Lanci and a few others. But then the poll took quite a bit of time aski
