Could someone please help me understand the Law of Conservation of Mass?
The Law of Conservation of Mass says that the mass of the universe will stay constant. So even though you may blow up a building into many different pieces with a stick of dynamite, the rubble of both the dynamite and the destroyed building will weigh the same as the intact building and intact dynamite. Another example of this is of water. Even though water freezes and becomes ice it still has the same mass, its molecules are just condensing.
