Could someone please help me get some information on being a certified nursing assistant?
General career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ‘nursing, psychiatric and home health aides’ or such. Please note that the job of a cna is very physically as well as mentally demanding. The cna may work with patients (‘residents’ if in a nursing home) that are confused and agitated while trying to have to help them take care of their daily needs (ADLs/activities of daily living) such as dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting. The cna may have to transfer the patient from point ‘a’ to point ‘b’ such as from the bed to the commode or such. I would certainly agree to do some volunteer work in a nursing home 🙂 If deciding to go forth with the training, please do look into the more affordable routes such as through the county vo-tech school, community college (perhaps a non-credit course) or through a nursing home (though one may need to sign a contract to work at that facility for a certain length of time so please read the fi
