Could some one please tell me the Origins of the Perrett Surname in Wilts?
The surname comes from a place-name North and South Perrott in neighbouring Somerset. You really need to get hold of a copy of; In Search of the Perretts, by George Perrett, G.E. Perrett, 1983, ISBN 0 9508557 0 7 You may be able to find a secondhand copy on Amazon or e-bay. There is also a Perrett (all spellings of the name) Society who publish a monthly newsletter; the last contact address I had was John P. Perrott, 24 Upper Stonehayes, Great Linford, Milton Keynes, Bucks, MK14 5ER. I think that they also have a web site.
