Could Removing A Router Cause Intermittent Connection Problems???

0

I know that adding a router can cause problems, but last week my daughter went back to college and I removed the router that my cable modem was connected to & then to my pc by ethernet cable. I’ve experienced intermittent email and internet connection problems for a week or two, but can’t say for sure whether the problem came before or after the router went away. The problem either fixes itself or goes away after re-booting the pc…..90% of the time, everything works OK.
