Could Netflix iPhone App Allow Streaming Video?

0

Popular DVD rental outlet Netflix is working on an application for the iPhone according to Slash Film. And while that may not be big news since every company under the sun is offering or developing an app for the popular iPhones, there are reports the company may allow users to stream content with the application. The movies or television shows would have to be part of the popular movie rental web-site’s streaming service and would be restricted to use only in areas that offered WiFi according to reports. There may also be some resistance from AT&T who offers service for iPhones. In the past, AT&T has been wary of offering applications that featured streaming content. But it is probably only a matter of time before one of the companies offering streaming video services via an Internet connection makes the jump to allow users to stream content to their hand-held devices. According to reports, Hulu is working on an application to allow streaming of its content to hand-held device.
