Could Led Zeppelin tour lead to Creed reunion?
Could a tour featuring the non-singing members of Led Zeppelin possibly lead to a reunion of . . . Creed? According to Billboard.com, that scenario might just happen. Three members of Led Zeppelin — guitarist Jimmy Page, bass player John Paul Jones and current drummer Jason Bonham — have confirmed that they are contemplating going on the road without singer Robert Plant, and have jammed witih several potential replacements. Sources have indicated that the leading candidate for the job is Myles Kennedy of the band Alter Bridge, which happens to include the three former instrumental members of Creed. If Kennedy should take the job with the Zeppelin offshoot, the sources have indicated that there are already “big bucks” on the table for a Creed reunion. Creed split up in 2004, with singer Scott Stapp pursuing a solo career while guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall formed Alter Bridge with Kennedy.
