I have no doubt that Lance could win the 2009 Tour. Things can always go wrong in a race of that scale, and it looks like Lance is only riding in support of teammate Alberto Contador, but you never know. Mentally, he’s as motivated as ever, and physically, well, just look at him . That’s not the body of a “retired” athlete! In my time as a cycling coach I have seen some big upsets by older athletes, and you probably witnessed Dara Torress’ amazing performance in Beijing at age 41. There’s no question Lance could win it.
