Could I learn Chopins Polonaise “Heroic” in 7 months?
I assume very highly that this will be the op. 53 Polonaise in A-flat major. You could learn it in 7 months with an effective practice schedule. So in the meantime…. Work on these several difficult main areas of this most-adored polonaise…. A. The introduction, where you have the brief rising chromatic double fourths in the right hand. Work on the legato by doing practice chromatic scales in the right hand only first in perfect fourths, and then in diminished fifths. The runs occur 4 times in the introduction. B. Work especially in the intermediary section after the main theme, where the key center is in F minor going to C major, then in E-flat major, and then to the V of F minor. Watch those dotted rhythms in 32nd notes, and so you have to think sixteenth notes all the way in this 16-measure passage. C. For the four note octave ostinato on the notes E-D#-C#-B, and then to Eb-D-C-Bb in the left hand, you will probably need to do a octave scale in E major for 2 octaves, and then the
