Well, to be honest it is not the best equipment for the job. The camera body is fine but the lens is not ideal and lack of external flash will also hamper you. Just how dark is the club going to be and what exactly are you going to be shooting (your friend mixing, the crowd (including close up shots of individuals), the club or all three?). I am assuming you are talking about the 18-55mm IS which is a pretty good lens but has an aperture of f/3.5-5.6. I would not work in any club with a camera of an aperture of minimum f/2.8 (zoom lens) or f/1.8 (prime). I would take into a club a 50mm f/1.8 or 1.4 or 85mm f/1.8 lens, nothing else. I would say that an external flash is pretty much an essential, because of your lens and lack of an external flash you are going to have to use ISO 1600, I can not see 800 being adequate and ISO 1600 is going to yield poor results. Using a tripod is going to be impossible, I can not see any club manager allowing you to set up a tripod and it will just be a p
